A high school reunion raised more than £1000 in funds for a dementia charity.
Carol Dickinson and Christine Turner both attended St Anne’s Roman Catholic High School in Harwood.
The two best friends organised a reunion at Mosley Arms in Breightmet for all of their former school friends and leavers in a bid to also raise money for the Purple Angel Dementia Group charity, which is close to their hearts.
Mrs Dickinson said: “Myself and Christine were overwhelmed with the response and support for such a great charity.
“It was a fabulous night with fabulous people, we didn’t want the night to end, and to raise £1,160 for Purple Angel Dementia group is amazing and will go towards the MP3 players provided to people in dementia homes across the country by Purple Angels founder Norman McNamara.
“We would like to thank each and every one that attended on the night and gave so generously.”

The MP3 players will be used to help jog the memory of people with dementia as they recognise familiar sound and music.
Mrs Dickinson said: “We had an amazing night at our reunion and charity night, we even got to sing streets of London again with our music teacher from over 50 years ago.”
